Everywhere said it works with all RZ models and older versions, but this is untrue. I tried onto the motor itself, and onto the 90 degree attachment but there is no way it will clamp on. I just received my fs2 flex shaft attachment by rotozip and was overall satisfied with the quality however when I tried to attach it to my rotozip RZ-2000 it would not fit on. At the end of the day, all I got from rotozip was a "sorry". So I got in contact with rotozip and I was told that I have a new generation of rotozip, that there are very few attachments for yet, and that I could expect attachments that I don't care about in coming months, but still no flex shaft. I thoroghly researched this product before purchase to make sure it would work with my unit, I even went to the rotozip site. I recommend not buying an RZ-2000 model or newer model for some time if you want to use it with attachments and go with an older model, or dremel possibly but they are owned by bosch as well and may have the same situation. I wasn't very pleased with the customer service so If I can find a comparable competitor out there - I will be buying their tools from now on.
I used it to shape a 2x4 into an armrest for my truck door. I quickly shut off the power but the glove got tangled up and I got cut. Using the flex shaft continuosly made it very hot in the handle so I had to wear gloves. Also, later I was wearing latex gloves and the cutting saw blade caught the glove. I later found out that the 2 seconds it took to turn off the power still was enough to snap the shaft at the roto zip end. Even though I was using it for light duty cutting plastic, it could not stand up to momentary stress.
Delivered on time, in good condition and was as described. Product had some cutting and sanding bits in it also.very noisy and flex shaft gets hot. You cant bend too much also, but it is workable if you have roto zip machine already.
Doesn't take standard size X-bits (5/32 inch) - so couldn't use the bit I needed. Doesn't flex enough. Made an odd grinding noise one time. It works but I wasn't very happy with it.
this is an excellent add on. when you need to do fine work or get into a tight spot it's a must have. as you'd expect, it's well made, it's a good length and it brings the power of the spiral saw to your finger tips.
